I recently graduated from college and got a job with a firm in Colorado.
I met this lady at work who had a gay brother. I in confidence told her
of myself being gay and we became very close. We had alot of discussions
regarding her brother having aids and myself being gay. A couple of weeks
ago her brother died of aids. Since then she has quit her job and is
lashing out at me. I feel that since her brother died she hates all gay
people and has a personal vendiata against me. She has filed a Charge of
Sexual Discrimination against me stating I subjected her to unwelcomed
sexual comments of a homosexual nature and I subjected her to a sexually
hostile work environment. The other problem I have is that I will now
have to tell my employer about myself being gay. My employer is very
ANTI-GAY and I feel that I will lose my job. If anyone can give me advise
on what to do , It would be greatly welcomed. I don't know what to do.
I'm not ready to come completely out of the closet to my employer or
fellow employees. Help!!!
